Resolved Issues - Adept Clients and Servers

The Adept WINTER '25 (11.4.0) release has resolved the Adept Client or Server issues mentioned below. The Issue Key is the internal identification used by Synergis team members.

Issue Key

Issue Description

A11-3047

Fixed an issue where using the autoname feature to rename PDF files in the web client caused an embedded watermark to appear. Renamed PDFs now retain their original appearance.

A11-3647

Customers authenticating with SSO should be aware that if they have users with multiple Adept accounts that a mechanism exists for Adept Desktop and Adept Taskpane to clear the 'keep me logged in' behavior.  Consult the Installation Guide for details.

A11-3252

Fixed an issue where the Database Analysis Report for Documents showed incorrect values, including millions of negative counts for unused characters. The report now generates accurate and usable data.

A11-2680

Implemented interoperability between Related Fields and Required Fields features. Existing individual functionality remains unchanged, but admins should consult Synergis before enabling to ensure configuration aligns with specific use cases.

A11-2344

Added a configuration option to control whether Autofill fields in the Search Card are populated when a parent Related Field is selected. Autofill is now disabled by default, addressing concerns about unexpected search results and improving accuracy.

A11-3340

Fixed an issue where usernames longer than eight characters were truncated in the Adept Task Pane login dialog. Full usernames are now correctly saved and displayed for subsequent logins.

A11-2970

Improved file open performance in Inventor by restricting pre-virtualization during drag-and-drop from the Task Pane. Previously, this caused delays when opening large assemblies. This change will also benefit SOLIDWORKS users in a future release.

A11-3021

Fixed an issue where nested AutoCAD XREFs were not virtualized when attaching a DWG file into another drawing. All child references are now properly maintained during attachment.

A11-3303

Fixed an issue where XREF files failed to load when opening drawings from the Task Pane in AutoCAD, resulting in missing references. XREFs now load correctly, ensuring all references are present.

A11-2959

Fixed an issue where TaskPane logins using TLS 1.2 failed, resulting in incorrect network security settings. All relevant calls now use the correct API access to ensure secure authentication.

A11-2972

Fixed an issue where SignalR connections were not cleared after logout, causing licenses to remain in use. Connections now terminate properly, ensuring accurate license availability.

A11-2607

Improved Data Card layout in Adept Web Client to reduce field overlap and excessive spacing. While layout differences remain compared to Adept Desktop due to platform constraints, the layouts are now more consistent.

A11-3502

Fixed an issue that prevented SSO login to Adept Desktop/Web due to misconfigured authentication settings.

A11-2301

Fixed an issue where Full Text Search failed to return correct results or caused errors when searching for strings with quotation marks across Adept interfaces. Users can now search for terms with special characters using the backslash (\) escape character.

A11-3626

Fixed a defect in Adept Insights that caused Audit Trail Insight Explorer to time out for users with access to many libraries, particularly Library Admins. The tool now loads without errors and is fully usable.

A11-2273

Removed the SSL configuration dialog and related shortcuts from the Web Server installation to simplify setup. SSL is now configured exclusively through IIS, with updated documentation provided. Core web client functions remain unaffected.

A11-3074

Fixed a Component One License error that occurred when using the Save to Adept feature in Outlook. The plugin now functions as expected, allowing emails to be saved without error.

A11-2975

Fixed an issue where admin locks in UGLA were not properly released, preventing users from making multiple changes in a single session. Users previously had to exit and re-enter to apply additional changes.
