What's New in Adept

Welcome to Adept Spring '26 (11.4.5)

A rebuilt SOLIDWORKS integration, Autodesk 2026 support, and a foundation for Adept Catalyst

There's something energizing about spring, the sense that something new is taking shape, even when it has deep roots in what came before. That spirit is very much at the heart of this release.

This release is centered on a completely rebuilt SOLIDWORKS integration, along with updated support for Autodesk 2026 products. Together, these updates help customers move forward with supported CAD workflows while laying important groundwork for what comes next.

For teams whose workflows depend on SOLIDWORKS, this is one of the most important updates we've delivered in years.

Our team re-engineered the SOLIDWORKS integration on top of a new underlying API. The shift was necessary and allowed us to modernize a capability that has supported customers for years – rebuilding it on a purpose-built foundation.

As with any major rebuild, there are some differences from the previous integration. Some workflows may behave differently, and we encourage you to review the SOLIDWORKS integration documentation to understand what has changed and what to expect. You'll also find that much of what you've come to rely on remains intact, now supported by an architecture designed to move forward with future SOLIDWORKS releases.

We're excited for you to experience this new foundation and to continue evolving it with us.

Very sincerely,

Todd Cummings

SOLIDWORKS 2025 Integration

Adept Spring '26 introduces a rebuilt SOLIDWORKS integration that supports SOLIDWORKS 2025. For teams that have been waiting for supported SOLIDWORKS connectivity, the wait is over!

Built on a modernized, purpose-built architecture, this integration re-establishes supported SOLIDWORKS connectivity for Adept customers and creates a stronger path forward for future SOLIDWORKS versions.

Because this integration has been rebuilt on a new foundation, it is not a one-for-one replica of the previous integration. Some capabilities and workflows may differ. For full details on capabilities, changes, and what to expect, please refer to the SOLIDWORKS integration documentation.

Autodesk 2026 Integrations

Adept Spring ’26 updates its Autodesk integrations to support the Autodesk 2026 product line, including:

  • AutoCAD 2026

  • Inventor 2026

  • Navisworks 2026

These updates allow teams to adopt the latest Autodesk releases while maintaining connected, supported CAD workflows.

Customers planning their next upgrade cycle can move to Autodesk 2026, knowing Adept Spring ’26 has been prepared and validated to support these environments.

As part of Autodesk Inventor 2026 support, Autodesk has introduced changes to how certain Inventor components are installed and managed. Customers deploying Inventor 2026—particularly in enterprise or automated deployment scenarios—should review the Deployment Guidance Update: Inventor and Apprentice 2026.

Updated Subscription Agreement

This release includes an updated Subscription Agreement. During installation or upgrade, you'll be prompted to review and accept the updated terms — no additional steps are required.

Looking Ahead: Adept Catalyst

Adept Spring ’26 also lays important groundwork for Adept Catalyst, a new Adept add-on product designed to make external project collaboration through SharePoint faster, more controlled, and easier to govern — while keeping Adept as the engineering authority.

Catalyst allows teams to share project documents with external partners and customers through SharePoint, while Adept governs the document lifecycle — controlling what goes out, how updates come back, and how changes move through review, approval, and version control.

For organizations that collaborate with outside contributors, Catalyst will help make outside collaboration a controlled extension of the engineering system of record. The goal is simple: help projects move faster while ensuring clean, reliable engineering documentation is ready at handover.

Spring ’26 includes foundational platform changes that help prepare Adept environments for the upcoming introduction of Adept Catalyst. Additional details, including availability and licensing, will be shared as Catalyst approaches release.
