Known Issues - Adept Viewer

The issues listed below have been reported but remain unresolved. Each issue is identified by its Issue Key, which is used internally by the Synergis team.

Unless the Issue Key appears in the Resolved Issues section of the latest Release Notes, all previously reported Known Issues from earlier versions still apply to the current software release.

Issue Key	Issue Description
AV-118	When opening certain SOLIDWORKS models with very large physical dimensions in Adept Viewer, the 3D model may appear cropped or partially cut off on initial load. As a workaround, click the Home button or manually adjust the camera to view the full model.
AV-117	When viewing Autodesk Inventor documents (for example, .ipt files) in ViewFrame, the model and axis orientation may differ from the orientation shown in the native Inventor application and from how SOLIDWORKS documents appear in ViewFrame. This is a display-only issue that does not affect the underlying document data. As a workaround, use the 3D View Controller to reorient the model.
AV-112	When viewing documents opened from a ZIP archive alongside other documents in Adept Viewer, files from the archive may disappear from the Document Panel when switching between documents.
AV-105	When multiple users publish a PDF from the same document at the same time, the resulting files may contain identical watermarks instead of each user’s personalized watermark settings. User‑specific watermark details such as username, color, and page orientation are not applied independently during concurrent publish operations.
AV-98	When using Undo or Revert to Last Save after editing markups in Adept Viewer, Signoff markups originally created in version 11.4.0 may revert to default formatting instead of retaining their applied formatting. This affects DOCX, PDF, IDW, and SLDDRW documents. Workaround: To restore the applied formatting in the current session, disable the ViewFrame display for the document by clearing the green checkbox in the Document Panel thumbnail, then immediately re‑enable it.
AV-97	When working with Signoff markups originally created in version 11.4.0, users cannot apply an opaque fill color using the standard formatting workflow for document types DOCX, PDF, IDW, and SLDDRW. Workaround: Set the fill color first, then change the fill type to Opaque to apply the fill correctly.
AV-95	When markup data is imported into a document using a JSON file in Adept Viewer, imported markups and measurements may be lost after the document is closed and reopened. Imported annotations and measurement data after an import from JSON are not retained between viewing sessions.
ADV-8929	Markups created prior to Adept Viewer 11.4 may be mispositioned in PDFs generated via Adept Viewer Publish PDF or ADV Print for .dwg, .dgn, .ipt, .iam, and other 3D formats. As a workaround, re‑save a markup in Adept Viewer 11.4 or greater to correct the output.
A11-4114	In Adept Viewer 11.3.x and 11.4.x, ZIP files with an uppercase “.ZIP” extension fail to cache and open in both Desktop and Web clients. As a workaround, rename the file extension to lowercase “.zip” to allow the file to cache and open successfully.
