New for Adept
Autodesk 2025 Support Updates
Integration support is now available for AutoCAD 2025, Inventor 2025, and Navisworks 2025. To accommodate Autodesk’s updated .NET Core requirements, Adept has been updated to ensure compatibility while continuing support for legacy versions 2023 and 2024.
Full Text Search Enhancements
Full Text Search (FTS) has been upgraded to deliver faster performance, improved reliability, and more accurate results. You’ll notice quicker access to relevant content and better handling of complex queries—making it easier to find what you need.
Interoperability Between Related Fields & Required Fields
Related Fields and Required Fields now work together more seamlessly. This new interoperability improves data integrity by reducing input errors and promoting consistency. You can set up this interoperability on new fields, and those fields already configured as Related Fields or Required Fields.
Improved Experience for Related Fields in Search Cards
When entering a parent Related Field in a Search Card, autofill values beneath that parent are now suppressed by default. This change gives you more control over field input and helps customize your searches.
Security Updates
Adept includes several behind-the-scenes security improvements:
Updated TLS support for enhanced login security
Upgraded components for encrypted connections
Improved Single Sign-On (SSO) reliability
New for Adept Viewer
Settings
Several new configuration options have been added to the Adept Viewer. You can now hide publishing buttons, adjust watermark font size, and benefit from improved handling of DWG linetype scaling.
Document Panel
The Adept Viewer now better supports filenames containing special characters. When viewing multiple files:
The first document opens automatically.
You can reorder thumbnails of all active documents for easier navigation.
General Improvements
Your feedback has prompted us to make these enhancements:
DWG, PDF, and GP4 (CALS) files open correctly even when renamed with a TIF extension.
PDF forms with filled values display without conflicting with native markup objects.
AutoCAD Viewing Enhancements
DWG XREF handling has been significantly improved — circular references are now ignored, reducing load time. Additional enhancements include:
Support for PaperSpace viewports of any shape
Monochrome viewing mode for DXF files
Ability to freeze layers inside Block definitions
Older XREF types such as OLE objects and CIT images now display correctly, including proper rotation for PDF and CIT Xrefs. These updates bring the Adept Viewer closer to native AutoCAD application behavior.
Markups & Measurement
Markup performance and flexibility have improved:
Markups now refresh more reliably on multi-page documents.
You can now copy markups between Office documents.
Measurement updates:
Measure objects are now only visible in edit mode.
A new calibration dialog in 2D documents lets you change the default measurement scale.
Publishing
PublishPDF now includes:
The ability to publish only pages containing markups
Two refinements that improve output clarity and control
These changes help reviewers share more focused, relevant content.
New for Adept Mobile
Viewing in Adept Mobile is now faster and more intuitive. These options replace the previous “View & Markup” feature, streamlining your experience.
“View” option: Instantly open and view files in the app — no need to download or make them available offline.
“Save to Device” option: Save PDF renditions directly to your device in
Downloads/adept-mobile/{user-ID}for easy access.
